Saturday Night Live

Yes, we are alive; though Greg is floating a bit, on pain meds, but determined to watch the World Rugby Championships on the telly, so has achingly and laboriously limped downstairs to the sofa as I write. John and Leenie have gone around to the local Lebanese deli to pick up some grub, and I'm spouse-sitting. What a lovely honeymoon, eh, Gregorio?
Me and my spouse got downtown again, to attend a matinee of the beautiful play, 'Shadowlands, -- which John had never seen. Great performances.
Dinner has just arrived; back at you later.

How is Greg faring today? Is everyone fried from all the worry/emotion? Again, thank goodness loving, comforting, and helpful Parental Units are on hand...

Love to all,
Teri

PS - tell us about Shadowlands?

Nothing can keep an Aussie from his rugby!

Hang in there guys ... I'm glad that the preliminary news from the doctors has been good.

I saw the movie version of Shadowlands, with Anthony Hopkins and Deborah Winger ... it made me a bit weepy.

Jimma, and Trees, that play is soooo sad; the worst part was hearing that Lewis himself didn't know what to say about death. All very well to believe in Narnia -- we've all been there; but Heaven?? That is trickier business.
Charles Dance, who starred in Leenie's last TV play (about evil, of course) played CS very well indeed; not right up to Hopkins, perhaps, but very poignant, and more vulnerable than Sir Anthony, I thought. A RSC actress, name of Janie Dee (doesn't sound quite right as a Shakespearean, but she is great) played the doomed Ms. Gresham, and she was truly a Joy.... It was in a beautiful old theatre near the National Gallery; we walked through Trafalgar Square, where a big festival for Paki's was in full swing. Very colorful.
Trees, if you have never seen the film, do rent it, and establish yourself with a box of kleenex and some chocolates, on a nice soft sofa, and enjoy; it is beautiful.
